Donna Lou Woodyard, aged 71, of London, KY, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. She was born on April 27, 1954, in Laurel County, KY, the daughter of the late Bart Jeffrey Woodyard Jr., and Aileen (Wardrup) Woodyard of London, KY. In addition to her father, Donna is preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal grandparents, some very special aunts and uncles, and a brother-in-law, Larry Glen Minton. Donna enjoyed the finer things in life, such as hot tea, fashion, and literature. She was a woman of elegance and taste, who was adored by all those around her. She was often affectionately referred to as a "diva." She also had a passion for rescuing animals, having two pot belly pigs of her own called Molly and Sally, whom she loved dearly. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Hart Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her two siblings: Wendel Dean Woodyard and wife Vicki, and Sandra Darlene Minton, all of London, KY; six nieces and nephews: Kyle Minton and wife Patti, Angela Allen and husband Michael, and Lyndsey Hampton and husband Doug, who were like children to her, as well as Jamie Woodyard and wife Krista, Jonathon Woodyard and wife Gina, and Tracy Boggs and husband Gary; fifteen great-nieces and great-nephews: Cole Minton, Makenzie and Evan Allen, and Carter and Emily Hampton, who were like grandchildren to her, as well as Aaron, Luke, and Ellie Woodyard, Calvin and Caleb Woodyard, and Drew, Ally, Tucker, Tanner, and Tate Boggs; plus, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends to mourn her passing. Services for Donna Lou Woodyard will be conducted on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Hampton Celebration of Life Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Jamie Woodyard officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her “Traveling Cousins,” Tammy, Christine, Karen, Kassi, Missy, and Peggy. The family of Donna Lou Woodyard will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Hampton Celebration of Life Funeral Chapel as well. Hampton Celebration of Life Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the family of Donna Lou Woodyard.
